We're very excited to host the second annual Hog Day Dessert Competition! If you'd like to enter, please complete this online form, or pick up and return a paper registration form at Matthew’s Chocolates at 107 N. Churton St.

Entry forms must be received on or before October 31, 2018.

Drop-off for the competition starts at 10:00 am on November 3, at the Old Law Building across from the new Courthouse.

By submitting this form, you are agreeing to abide by the competition rules:

  • All participants must be amateur bakers without professional training or employment in a professional bakery or confectionary kitchen.

  • All entry forms must be accompanied by the recipe, listing all of the ingredients and preparation methods.

  • All ingredients must be listed to avoid judges’ allergies.

  • All participants must adhere to proper food safety measures and cleanliness to avoid cross-contamination and germs.

  • All participants must submit two identical desserts per entry (two pies, two plates of a dozen cookies, two cakes).

  • One entry will be judged. The other will be sold as part of the Hog Day Bake Sale. The winning entry will be raffled at 3pm outside of the Courthouse.

  • Extra points will be awarded for local ingredients included in the recipe.

  • Recipes may be published as part of a Hog Day Dessert Cookbook in the future.
